Southampton
Southampton is where some of us live, and where Meshwork Soton is growing: a locally held, solar powered communications infrastructure made of small nodes that pass information between one another without WiFi, mobile data or a mains socket. The first permanent node is at October Books, a cooperative bookshop and community space. Meshwork Soton ongoingen curso
October Books hosts the first permanent node. It sits outside the building, takes its energy from the solar panel above it, and lives in an enclosure woven from willow by a local maker. A printed sheet beside it says what it is.October Books aloja el primer nodo permanente.
