Maguaré
Maguaré is a resguardo in Colombia, governed through its own assembly, cabildo and authorities. Our relationship with it began in 2025 through Minga solar, an exchange between Morelos and Maguaré about ways of growing, organising, making and maintaining things. A communication network was explored first; through the community's own meetings, the cabildo identified solar energy as the more immediate priority, and the work followed that decision.Maguaré es un resguardo en Colombia, que se gobierna a través de su propia asamblea, su cabildo y sus autoridades. Nuestra relación con este lugar empezó en 2025 con Minga solar, un intercambio entre Morelos y Maguaré sobre formas de cultivar, organizarse, hacer y mantener las cosas. Primero se exploró una red de comunicación; en sus propias reuniones, el cabildo identificó la energía solar como la prioridad más inmediata, y el trabajo siguió esa decisión.
The infrastructure that was assembled and installed together stays in Maguaré. So does the knowledge of how it works and how to maintain it, and so do the decisions about its use and upkeep.La infraestructura que se armó e instaló en conjunto se queda en Maguaré. The exchange begins: conversations between Morelos and Maguaré about cultivation, collective work, technical knowledge, making and repair, and ways of organising. Each place brought its own knowledge, needs and ways of doing things.Empieza el intercambio: conversaciones entre Morelos y Maguaré sobre cultivo, trabajo colectivo, conocimiento técnico, hacer y reparar, y formas de organizarse. Assembling and installingArmar e instalar
Twelve household systems, one per home, and six portable stations for the maloca and the shared spaces, assembled and installed together. The work went through what each component does and how the system fits together, so that using, understanding, maintaining and troubleshooting it afterwards stays in local hands.Doce sistemas domésticos, uno por casa, y seis estaciones portátiles para la maloca y los espacios compartidos, armados e instalados en conjunto.
