Minga solar began with a proposal around communications, but the conversations and meetings in the Resguardo Indígena Maguaré took the work towards a more immediate need: energy.Minga solar comenzó con una propuesta alrededor de comunicaciones, pero las conversaciones y reuniones en el Resguardo Indígena Maguaré llevaron el trabajo hacia una necesidad más inmediata: la energía.

Johana, part of TecnoMilpa and a member of the Resguardo Indígena Maguaré, arranged and organised the meetings with her community through the cabildo. Twelve systems were installed collectively in homes of the Resguardo through minga work days. During the installation the work also covered assembly, the components, maintenance and the repairs that could be done locally.Doce sistemas fueron instalados colectivamente en hogares del Resguardo mediante jornadas de minga. Durante la instalación se trabajó también sobre el montaje, los componentes, el mantenimiento y las reparaciones que pudieran hacerse localmente.

A communication network was explored first. In the meetings with the cabildo, solar energy came up as the more immediate priority, and the work followed that.Primero se exploró una red de comunicación.
